Inlaid Drawer DVD

Think of drawer construction, and almost certainly, the first thing that comes to mind is the dovetail joint. Viewed by woodworkers and non woodworkers alike as a symbol of craftsmanship, the dovetail may have its origins as a functional joint, but it has now become a design element.
Yet, the actual process of dovetailing represents but a fraction of the time it takes to build a drawer, especially one embellished in any way.

This 3 hour and 50 minute DVD, follows the process of building a drawer, from the milling of the stock, to the installation of the hardware. Many of the processes shown are universal, such as the dimensioning of components, dovetailing, fitting drawer bottoms and applying and rubbing out shellac. While others are more specialized, such as hammer veneering and inlaying the drawer fronts, but even these are adaptable to a wide range of projects.
